JOSHUA STOLLY
PARTNER
BELLEFONTAINE
Josh, known for his billboard ad which reads “Good Business”, specializes in representing small to midsized business and their owners. “I strive to see the big picture, to understanding my clients’ businesses, and to provide sound advice that helps solve problems and achieve objectives.”
Naturally, advising business owners dovetails into estate planning and probate avoidance. “Rarely is probate an appropriate means to administer assets, especially operational businesses. I work almost daily with clients to game plan the transfer of assets to loved ones while avoiding probate”, said Josh.
Clients also retain Josh in a general counsel capacity, relying on his guidance in formulating creative strategies to maximize opportunity and minimize risk. As such, Josh’s services encompass a wide range of transactional matters including:
-
Business sale and purchase agreements
-
Independent contractor and sales representative agreements
-
Shareholder/partnership/Operating agreements
-
Buy/sell agreements
Since January 2016, Josh has served as the elected Law Director for the City of Bellefontaine. As general counsel to the City of Bellefontaine, Josh advises the Mayor, Service-Safety Director and department heads on day-to-day legal issues. The Law Director is responsible for the Municipal Court Prosecutor’s Office which handles over 11,000 cases annually.
Prior to enrolling in law school, for two years Josh was a financial analyst for Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio.
