Matt focuses his practice in the areas of civil litigation, real property law, landlord/tenant law, health care law, general business and corporate law. Matt is a native of Champaign County but currently lives in New Carlisle, Ohio with his wife Alyssa and their son Briggs. Matt has been listed as a Rising Star multiple times in the Construction Litigation section of the Thomson Reuters SuperLawyers publication. No more than 2.5 percent of attorneys under the age of 40 are named to the Rising Stars list.


Matt’s main area of practice in the diverse field of civil litigation is construction litigation. His services include representing clients in the following matters:

Matt currently serves as the village solicitor for Zanesfield, Ohio, the treasurer for the Champaign County Bar Association, board member of both the Grandworks Foundation in Urbana, Ohio and the Wayne Township Park Committee in Cable, Ohio, and is also a past president of the Urbana Rotary Club.
